The Oulu University Secure Programming Group (OUSPG) investigates and creates new ways of testing for software and system vulnerabilities. Our goal has been to support proactively preventing, finding and fixing vulnerabilities which cause safety and security issues. Our research concentrates on implementation-level issues and testing-methods, as well as developing methods for understanding complex systems. We have been an independent and academic research group in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering since summer 1996. Our mission has been to proactively make the technology - our society depends on - more safe and secure. We have carried out several national and international research projects and have spun off two companies: Codenomicon Oy and Clarified Networks Oy. |
